Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine: Advances, Applications, and Translational Perspectives
Description
Close
Special Issue Scope
Stem cells and regenerative medicine constitute a rapidly evolving and highly impactful area of applied cell biology, offering innovative approaches for tissue repair, regeneration, and disease treatment. Advances in understanding stem cell self-renewal, differentiation, and interactions with the cellular microenvironment have significantly expanded their translational and therapeutic potential. In parallel, the development of organoid systems, three-dimensional culture platforms, genome editing technologies, and single-cell analytical methods has enabled more precise modeling and manipulation of regenerative processes.
This Special Issue of Applied Cell Biology aims to publish high-quality original research and review articles that highlight both fundamental and applied aspects of stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Particular emphasis is placed on studies that integrate molecular and cellular mechanisms with bioengineering, biomaterials, and translational applications. Contributions addressing current challenges in clinical translation, including safety, efficacy, and scalability of stem cell-based approaches, are strongly encouraged. The Special Issue seeks to provide a comprehensive forum for interdisciplinary research that bridges basic cell biology and regenerative therapeutic development.
